Best Wrist Wraps for Carpal Tunnel and Weightlifting
I have been dealing with some numbness and tingling in my hands which my doctor says is carpal tunnel. I am looking for the best wrist wraps for carpal tunnel and weightlifting so I can keep training without making it worse. I find that my wrists feel very weak when I am doing pressing movements or even holding heavy dumbbells.
I have looked at some stiff wraps from Rogue and some more flexible ones from SBD. I am not sure which type is better for protecting the median nerve while still allowing for a good range of motion. I am also trying to be more careful with how I hold the bar during squats so I am not putting too much pressure on my wrists.
Have any of you managed carpal tunnel while lifting? I am curious if you found that wearing wraps made a big difference or if you had to change your exercises entirely. I am also doing some wrist glides and nerve stretches that I found online. I would love some gear recommendations that provide good support!
