I want to start a YouTube channel this year and I need some decent video editing software. I have never edited a video before in my life, so I need something that is intuitive but still has enough features to make my videos look professional.

I have heard that DaVinci Resolve is the best free option, but it looks a bit intimidating for a total beginner. I have also seen CapCut being used a lot for shorter videos. Is it good for longer content as well?

For paid options, I am looking at Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro. I am wondering if the subscription cost for Adobe is worth it for someone just starting out. I have a Mac, so Final Cut is an option for me as well.

What did you all use when you first started editing? I want something that has good tutorials online so I can learn the basics quickly. I am excited to get started but I do not want to get bogged down in a complex interface.
