Best Squat Pad for Neck Protection Is It Worth It
I am considering getting a squat pad because the bar really hurts my neck and upper back when I am squatting. I have been told by some people that I should just toughen up but it is honestly distracting me from my sets. I am looking for the best squat pad that is thick and does not slide around.
I have seen the ones from brands like Iron Bull and some generic ones. I am also worried that it might change the bar path or make the bar feel less stable. Is it worth it for the comfort or should I just try to adjust my bar placement?
Do you guys use a pad for your squats? I do not want to be that guy in the gym that everyone is judging but I also want to be able to focus on my leg drive without being in pain. If you have a specific recommendation for a high quality pad please let me know.
