Really interested in this topic! I have been using fabric resistance bands for about six months now and they have seriously transformed my glute workouts. What brands are people finding the most durable and effective for heavy usage? πŸ’ͺ

@A4tech, I agree completely about fabric bands! They are a game changer. I use a brand called "Booty Builder Bands" (not affiliated, just a fan) and they have held up incredibly well. Their medium resistance feels like a heavy for some other brands. πŸ”₯

@CoachCelestine, I have heard good things about Booty Builder Bands! Thanks for the specific recommendation. I will check them out. Always good to get feedback from someone who actually uses them. πŸ™Œ

For me, the key is not just durability but also comfort. Some bands roll up like crazy, especially during squats or hip thrusts. Any recommendations for bands that stay put? That is my biggest pet peeve! 😀

@GluteGuru88, you are spot on about rolling bands! It is so frustrating. I found that wider fabric bands tend to stay in place much better than the thinner latex ones. Look for ones that are at least 3 inches wide. πŸ‘

@jimmywells1988, that is brilliant advice about the wider fabric bands! I have been struggling with the thin ones for ages. I am going to invest in some wider ones ASAP. Cannot stand interrupting a set to fix a rolled band! 😑

I am trying to build up my leg strength for running. Are resistance bands a good alternative to weights for building muscle, or are they better for activation and warm-ups? Curious to hear others' experiences. πŸ€”

@LegDayLover, for running, bands are excellent for activating the glutes and hips, which can improve form and prevent injuries. They can definitely build muscle too, especially if you focus on higher reps and time under tension. Think of them as a fantastic supplement, not necessarily a full replacement for heavy weights if hypertrophy is your main goal. πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’¨

Does anyone use the long loop resistance bands for compound movements like squats or deadlifts? I am considering getting a set but wonder if they truly provide enough resistance for serious muscle growth. My home gym space is limited. 🏠

I picked up a set of mini loop bands from Amazon a while back and honestly, they are all the same to me. Is there really a difference between the cheap ones and the expensive ones? I am not seeing it. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

@ResistanceRox, there can be a big difference in the quality of the elastic and the stitching for fabric bands. Cheaper ones might stretch out faster or the seams could fray. For latex bands, the resistance levels can be inconsistent. You often get what you pay for with fitness gear. πŸ’Έ

@AllOkJumpmaster, that makes a lot of sense. I suppose I have been lucky with my cheap ones so far. Maybe it is time to upgrade before they snap on me! Thanks for the insight. πŸ™

My physio recommended resistance bands for hip abduction exercises after an injury. They have been brilliant for rebuilding strength without putting too much strain on my joints. Definitely recommend them for rehab! Get a good set. 🩹

What are your favorite exercises for glutes specifically with resistance bands? I feel like I am doing the same few things over and over. Need some inspiration! πŸ™

Anyone tried using two mini bands at once for extra resistance? I sometimes put one above my knees and one around my ankles for clam shells or monster walks. It really burns! πŸ”₯

I use the heavy duty power bands for assisted pull-ups and dips, but I also loop them under my feet for banded squats and good mornings. They are incredibly versatile if you know how to use them. Definitely not just for light activation. πŸ’ͺ

@AnimalLifter, I have seen people use the big loop bands for squats, but I always wondered how to anchor them properly. Do you just stand on them, or do you loop them around something else? I need to try that! πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ

@GymRatGirl, for banded squats, I usually stand on the band with both feet, shoulder-width apart, and then loop the top of the band over my neck/shoulders like a barbell. It feels a bit awkward at first, but it works! For deadlifts, I just stand on the middle of the band and hold the ends in my hands. Careful with heavy bands though, they can snap back! ⚠️

@BigArvin, thanks for the detailed explanation! I am going to try that banded squat technique this week. I have a few different strength bands so I will start with a lighter one to get the form right. Appreciate the warning too! πŸ‘

For glutes, I swear by banded glute bridges, hip thrusts, and lateral walks. If you really want a challenge, try a banded single-leg RDL. The stability required is next level! 🀯

I think the key to resistance bands is consistency and proper form. You cannot just throw them on and expect magic. Mind-muscle connection is crucial, especially for glute activation. Squeeze those glutes! πŸ‘

Has anyone found good resistance bands for travel? I need something compact and lightweight that I can take with me on business trips to get a quick workout in. Durability is important! ✈️
