Best Recovery Routine for High Intensity Interval Training
I do a lot of high intensity interval training and my body is feeling pretty beat up by the end of the week. I am looking for the best recovery routine for high intensity interval training that helps with muscle repair and prevents burnout. I find that I am often too tired to do anything complex on my off days.
I have been trying to do some light swimming and some focused stretching for my lower body. I am also wondering if I should be focusing more on my nutrition and sleep to support the high demand of my workouts. I am in Canada and I want to keep my intensity high without hitting a wall.
What do you all do to recover from those brutal HIIT sessions? I am looking for a mix of active recovery and some passive techniques that I can do at home. If you have a specific schedule that works for you please let me know. I want to stay consistent and see some real progress in my fitness!
