I am comparing the best pull up bars for doorways versus wall mounted ones for my flat in London. I am a bit hesitant to drill into the walls because I do not want to lose my security deposit but I am also worried that a doorway bar might damage the trim.
I have seen the ones that use leverage to stay in place and they seem okay but I am a heavy guy. I do not want the whole thing to come crashing down when I am in the middle of a set.
Is it worth the risk of a wall mounted bar for the extra stability? I want to be able to do weighted pull ups eventually. If you have a doorway bar that has held up well without damaging your home please let me know which brand it is!
