I am looking for the ultimate pre workout meal to help me hit some new personal records this month. I currently eat a bowl of oats with some honey about 90 minutes before I train. It is okay, but I feel like I could have more energy.
I have heard that some people prefer cream of rice because it is faster to digest. Others swear by a bagel and peanut butter. I want something that gives me a good pump and keeps my energy high through a heavy squat session.
What is your go to pre workout meal when you know you have a hard day ahead of you? Do you include any specific fats or is it better to keep it strictly carbs and protein? I would love to hear your suggestions for something that is not too heavy on the stomach.
