Best Magnesium Supplement for Muscle Recovery and Sleep
I have been training hard for a powerlifting meet here in Ohio and my sleep has been terrible lately. I have been researching the best magnesium supplement for muscle recovery and sleep because I keep getting these painful leg cramps in the middle of the night.
I have seen so many different forms like glycinate, malate, and oxide. I have heard that magnesium oxide is basically useless for absorption so I want to avoid that. I am looking for something that actually crosses the blood brain barrier to help me relax before bed.
Has anyone here used the brands like Thorne or Pure Encapsulations? They are a bit more expensive but I am willing to pay for quality if it means I can finally get eight hours of deep sleep. I would love to hear which form of magnesium worked best for your recovery!
