I am looking to upgrade from my old Converse Chuck Taylors to a proper pair of lifting shoes. I have been doing some research on the Nike Romaleos 4 and the Adidas Adipowers but I am not sure which one is better for a mix of squats and bench press.

I have a bit of a heel lift naturally and I think a solid weightlifting shoe would help my squat depth and stability. I am also interested in whether they actually help with leg drive on the bench press. The flat sole of the Converse has been fine but I feel like I am missing out on some power.

What are the best lifting shoes you have used? Should I go for a high heel or something more moderate? I am also considering the Reebok Legacy Lifters because they look very sturdy. Would love to hear your experiences with different brands and how they affected your lifts.
