Best Deadlift Shoes for Sumo vs Conventional Pulling
Hey everyone! I am currently looking for some advice on the best deadlift shoes for someone who switches between sumo and conventional pulling. I have been using basic flats but I feel like I am sliding a bit when I go wide for sumo.
I have heard that the Notorious Lift slippers are the gold standard for sumo because they have that amazing side lateral support. However I am not sure if they are also solid for conventional. I train in a garage gym in Ohio so I need something that can handle a bit of dust on the mats.
Does anyone here have experience with the Sabo Deadlift shoes? They look like they have a bit more ankle support which might be nice. I want to know if the extra cost is actually worth it or if I should just stick to my old wrestling shoes. Looking forward to hearing what you all use for your heavy pulls!
