I am looking to add some more cardio to my routine to help speed up my fat loss. I am currently doing a few sessions of steady state cardio on the treadmill but I am wondering if HIIT would be more effective for burning fat.
I have heard that HIIT has an afterburn effect where you continue to burn calories after the workout is over. However it is also much more taxing on the body. I do not want to interfere with my recovery from my weightlifting sessions.
What is your favorite type of cardio when you are on a cut? Do you prefer low intensity walking or high intensity sprints? I am in Canada and I love going for hikes when the weather is nice but I need something I can do in the gym as well.
