I have set a goal to read 50 books this year and I am already falling behind. I am looking for some must-read recommendations for 2026 to get me back on track. I love a good thriller or a historical fiction novel that I can really sink into.

I have heard great things about the new releases from some of the big authors, but I am also looking for some hidden gems. I recently finished a non-fiction book about productivity that was okay, but I really need something that is a page-turner.

What has been your favorite read of the year so far? I am also open to memoirs or books about science and technology if they are written in an engaging way. I find that I enjoy books more when I can discuss them with others.

If you have a top five list for 2026, please share it! I need to fill up my Kindle for an upcoming vacation and I want to make sure I have plenty of good options.
