Best Board Games for Family Game Night in 2026

I am trying to get my family to spend less time on their phones and more time together. I have decided to start a weekly game night, but I need some new board games that everyone will enjoy. My kids are 10 and 14, so I need something that is not too simple but also not overly complex.

We have played the classics like Monopoly and Scrabble, but I am looking for some modern games that are more engaging. I have heard good things about Catan and Ticket to Ride. Are those still the best options or are there newer games I should know about?

I am also looking for some cooperative games where we all work together against the board. I think that might be better for my kids who can get a bit too competitive sometimes. I have heard Pandemic is a good one, but maybe something a bit lighter?

What are your favorite games for family night? I want something that takes about an hour to play and has a lot of replay value. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
