Best Barbell Collars for Home Gym and Commercial Use

I am tired of the cheap spring collars at my gym in Vancouver that always slide off the bar when I am doing heavy deadlifts. I am looking for the best barbell collars that are easy to use and provide a secure lock. I have seen the Lock-Jaw collars and the aluminum ones from Rogue.

I want something that I can quickly flip on and off but will not budge even if I drop the bar. I am also seting up a home gym and I want to buy a pair that will last forever. Is it worth spending thirty dollars on a pair of collars or are the ten dollar ones just as good?

What do you all use to keep your plates in place? I have seen some magnetic ones as well but they seem a bit gimmicky. If you have a favorite brand of collars that you swear by please let me know so I can stop worrying about my plates sliding around.
