I am a competitive powerlifter and I am finding it harder to recover between my heavy sessions as I get older. I am looking for the best active recovery for powerlifters that does not involve anything too crazy. I am currently just taking some short walks and doing some light mobility work for my hips and shoulders.

I have heard that some people swear by sled drags or very light accessory work with bands to get blood into the muscles. I want to stay active but I do not want to add any extra fatigue that might affect my main lifts. I am in the US and I am preparing for a meet in three months.

What do you guys do on your non lifting days to stay fresh? I am looking for a routine that helps with joint health and keeps me from feeling like a stiff board. If you have any specific protocols for powerlifting recovery please share them with me. I need to find a way to keep my intensity high!
