Best Active Recovery Activities for Rest Days
I am looking for some fresh ideas for what to do on my days off from the gym. I am looking for the best active recovery activities for rest days that are actually fun. I find that just going for a walk can be a bit boring after a while. I have been thinking about trying some light frisbee or maybe some casual swimming.
I want to stay moving so my muscles do not stiffen up but I do not want to do anything that feels like a real workout. I am in the US and I have access to a few local parks and a community center. I have heard that playing a low intensity sport can be great for both physical and mental recovery.
What are your favorite ways to stay active when you are not lifting? I am curious if you have any unique hobbies that help you recover without causing fatigue. I want to make the most of my rest days so I can come back to the gym feeling refreshed and ready to go!
