I have heard that foam rolling is not just for muscle knots but that it can also help with blood flow. I am curious about the benefits of foam rolling for blood circulation and if it can actually help with overall heart health and recovery. It seems like the pressure would help push blood back towards the heart and clear out toxins.

I have started rolling my whole body for ten minutes every morning and I definitely feel more awake and energized afterwards. I am wondering if there is any scientific backing to the idea that it helps with lymphatic drainage as well. I am in the UK and I am trying to take a more holistic approach to my recovery this year.

What are your thoughts on using a foam roller for general health rather than just for specific injuries? Have you noticed an improvement in your skin or your energy levels since starting a regular rolling routine? I would love to hear if this is a real benefit or just another fitness myth.
