I have been dieting for twelve weeks straight and I am starting to feel really burnt out. My strength in the gym is dropping and I am tired all the time. I have been reading about the benefits of taking a diet break for a week or two.
The idea of eating at maintenance for a while sounds amazing but I am scared that I will gain back all the fat I have lost. Does a diet break actually help with metabolic adaptation or is it just a mental break? I really want to finish this cut strong.
How many of you actually use diet breaks in your programs? I am in California and I want to look my best for beach season but I do not want to wreck my hormones. I would love to hear how you structure your breaks and what you eat during that time.
