I see all the pro athletes using those giant inflatable boots and I am wondering are compression boots worth the money for recovery for a regular person. I train for triathlons and my legs always feel heavy and tired. The Normatec and Therabody boots are quite a big investment so I want to be sure they actually work.

I have heard that they help with lymphatic drainage and reducing swelling in the legs. I am wondering if they are significantly better than just wearing compression socks or using a foam roller. I love the idea of just sitting on the couch and letting a machine do the work for me after a long ride.

Have any of you made the leap and bought a pair for home use? Did you notice a faster turnaround between your hard sessions? I am in the UK and I am looking for a way to maximize my recovery during my peak training weeks. I would appreciate any honest feedback before I spend my hard earned cash!
